Joe started drumming at the early age of 8 in local Maryland drum and bugle corps.  After 10 years of drum corps, he began to focus exclusively on the drum kit.  By age 16 Joe was playing every weekend in a popular wedding and event band, The O’Neil’s.  Joe was the drummer for the 10 piece society/event band, CPR, for 25 years, and currently performs with 2 cover bands, Honky Tonk Casanovas and The NoWhere Men.  He has performed at embassies and in venues opening for some of the legends in music.

Joe owes his accomplishments to his kit instructor, Leonard Cuddy, from the U.S. Navy band, The Commodores, and the drum corps instructors that spent countless hours teaching kids how to play drums.  Joe is currently a student of Gretsch Drums signature artist, Mike Johnston.
